DC COPS Methamphetamine Response Program Evaluation
(PI: Saldana)
Douglas County Commission on Children & Families

This project is a subcontract to examine questions of implementation process and fidelity for an ongoing project in Douglas County Oregon. The Comprehensive Methamphetamine Response Program, funded to Douglas County by the US Department of Justice, is a cross-system collaboration project to address the multiple needs of families and communities affected by methamphetamine. The focus of this project is to provide an independent evaluation of the multiple partners’ responsiveness to these cross- system collaborations, as the county moves toward an integrated approach to eradicate the manufacturing, distribution, and chronic use of methamphetamine, and the problems for children and families associated with such activities. Qualitative and quantitative analysis is being conducted as part of these evaluation activities, and an iterative feedback approach is being used to assist the Douglas County partners in moving systematically toward their targeted goals.
