CR2P was formed in 2001 by a group of researchers at the Oregon Social Learning Center (OSLC) who shared a vision of translating findings from controlled research studies into programs and services received by children and families. We wanted to see the results of our research put to use in real world foster homes and schools, with caseworkers and probation officers, in mental health clinics, and in juvenile courts. Specifically, we wanted to form partnerships with service professionals to create services that reflected the tremendous advances that have been made during prior and ongoing research dedicated to improving child, adolescent, and family outcomes in the fields of psychology, education, social work, and youth development.
